23 Furnival Gate is a tall building planned for Sheffield, England. It has been given official permission to be built.

The plans for this building were sent in and approved in 2005. However, as of 2016, building has not started yet. The plans suggest that an old pub called 'The Nelson' would need to be removed to make space for the new tower.

What Will 23 Furnival Gate Be Like?

If it gets built, the tower would be about 65 meters (213 feet) tall. The very top floor would be a bit lower, at 62 meters (205 feet).

The building is planned to have 20 floors in total. Nineteen of these floors would be above the ground, and one floor would be underground. There would also be two elevators to help people move between floors.

What's Inside the Building?

The ground floor of 23 Furnival Gate would have a main entrance area and shops. The floor below ground would be used for storage. All the other floors above ground would contain a total of 90 apartments, which are homes for people to live in.

Who is Building It?

The company that designed the building is called Hadfield Cawkwell Davidson. The company in charge of developing the project is W D King Group.
