How the Skyscraper Was Made
The ANZ Centre was designed by a group of architects called Hassell Pty Limited. Construction of this big tower started in 1989. It was finished and ready in 1991.
For a while, the ANZ Centre stood out on the Auckland skyline all by itself. But then, work began on the famous Sky Tower in 1995. The Sky Tower was completed in 1997. It is now much taller than the ANZ Centre.
