A Note To You facts for kids
A Note To You was a special radio show that played classical music. It was on the air from 1963 until 2000. The show was created at Northeastern University in Boston. Roland Nadeau, who started the music department there, began "A Note To You." He wanted to help children learn about classical music.
The show first aired on WHDH. Later, it moved to WGBH-FM. Eventually, "A Note To You" was heard on more than 160 radio stations. At its most popular, the show was even broadcast internationally. It reached networks like the Armed Forces Radio and Australian Public Radio.
Even though it started for kids, "A Note To You" grew into a show for the whole family. Professor Nadeau would talk about music and interview special guests. He used music to help explain his ideas. Each episode focused on a different topic. It often featured live music performances, along with talks and comments. Nadeau wanted to share classical music in a way that everyone could enjoy.
