Season 1: 1995–2001

The first season of Aahat was filmed in 1994. It started airing on October 5, 1995. Each story was split into two episodes. The show first aired on Thursday nights, then moved to Friday nights.

Season 2: 2004–2005

Because the first season was so popular, Sony TV brought Aahat back. The second season also aired on Friday nights. Its episode format was similar to the first season. However, this season did not get as many viewers.

Season 3: 2007

The third season was called Aahat: Dahshat Ki Teesri Dastak. This means "An approaching sound: The Third Coming of Horror." This season aired on Saturday nights. Each story was shown in a single episode. This season also struggled to attract many viewers and ended quickly.

Season 4: 2009–2010

The fourth season was named Aahat: The All New Series. It aired on both Friday and Saturday nights. In this season, a character named Durjan led a team. This team researched paranormal and supernatural activities. Durjan collected powers from spirits for his boss.

He sent three characters, Harsh, Raghav, and Yamini, to deal with new supernatural powers each week. Their stories were usually split into two episodes. This season even had three special episodes where characters from Aahat met characters from another popular show, CID. These crossover episodes happened in November 2009, February 2010, and June 2010. This season was very popular and was considered a big success!

Season 5: 2010

Because the fourth season was so popular, Sony TV decided to show Aahat four days a week. The fifth season aired from Monday to Thursday nights. Every week, there were two new stories, each divided into two episodes.

However, this idea didn't work out as planned. The number of viewers dropped again. So, the channel had to stop the series on November 25, 2010.

To celebrate 15 years of the show, this season had a special 16-episode story. It was called "Maut Ka Khel," which means "The Game of Death." This story was inspired by the 1999 movie House On Haunted Hill. It followed famous people who stayed in a 200-year-old haunted house.

Season 6: 2015

The first episode of the sixth season aired on February 18, 2015. At first, the show was on twice a week, on Wednesday and Thursday nights. The first episode got a good number of viewers.

Because it was popular, the channel decided to show the season four days a week. It aired every Monday to Thursday nights. But after a few weeks, the number of viewers dropped again. The channel then decided to end the season on August 4, 2015.
