Aaron Rogers' Football Journey
Aaron Rogers was born in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. He started his football journey playing for the St George club in the Sydney AFL league. This is where he first showed his talent for Australian rules football.
Joining the AFL
In 2001, Aaron was chosen in the 2001 AFL Draft by the Melbourne Football Club. This was a big step, as it meant he was picked to play at the highest level of the sport. He spent two years with the Melbourne club, from 2002 to 2003.
Debut with the Swans
Even though he was drafted by Melbourne, Aaron didn't play any official games for them. In 2004, he moved to the Sydney Swans club. This is where he finally made his debut, playing his first games in the AFL. He played two matches for the Swans that year. After the 2004 season, his time in the AFL came to an end.
Life After the AFL
After leaving the AFL, Aaron continued to play Australian rules football. He joined the Eastlake Demons, a team in the AFL Canberra league.
Coaching Career
Aaron also became involved in coaching. In 2010, he was part of the Morningside Australian Football Club team that won a championship. Later, he became the head coach for Morningside in 2012 and 2013. In 2014, he joined the coaching team for the Gold Coast Football Club's reserve team (known as the NEAFL team).
Current Role
Today, Aaron Rogers works as a facilitator at a company called Leading Teams. In this role, he helps different groups and teams work better together and achieve their goals.
