Abdoulaye Sékou Sow (born 1931, died May 27, 2013) was an important politician from Mali, a country in West Africa. He served as the Prime Minister of Mali for a short time, from April 1993 to February 1994. He worked under President Alpha Oumar Konaré.

Abdoulaye Sékou Sow's Journey

Abdoulaye Sékou Sow had an interesting career in Mali. He was the director of the École Nationale d'Administration. This is like a special school for training people to work in government.

Becoming a Political Leader

He was also one of the people who helped start a political group. This group was called the Alliance for Democracy in Mali-African Party for Solidarity and Justice (ADEMA-Pasj). This group worked to bring democracy to Mali.

Serving as Prime Minister

In 1993, the President of Mali, Alpha Oumar Konaré, chose Abdoulaye Sékou Sow for two big jobs. He became the Minister of Defense, which means he was in charge of the country's military. At the same time, he was also made the Prime Minister. He held these important roles from April 1993 to February 1994.

Writing About Mali's Future

In 2008, Abdoulaye Sékou Sow wrote a book. It was titled "The State Democratic Republican: the problem of its construction in Mali." The book talked about the challenges of building a strong, democratic government in Mali.
