Abdulkadir Kure (born 26 February 1956 – died 8 January 2017) was an important Nigerian politician. He was a member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP). He served as the Governor of Niger State for two terms, from 29 May 1999 to 29 May 2007.

Becoming Governor
Abdulkadir Kure became the Governor of Niger State on 29 May 1999. A governor is like the leader of a state, similar to a mayor for a city, but for a whole state.
