Acastus was a brave hero in ancient Greek myths. He was known for sailing with the famous hero Jason and his crew, the Argonauts. Acastus also took part in a big hunt for a dangerous creature called the Calydonian Boar.

Acastus was a prince from a place called Iolcus. His father was Pelias, who was the king of Iolcus. Acastus joined Jason on his amazing journey to find the Golden Fleece. This journey was full of adventures and challenges.

Acastus's father was King Pelias of Iolcus. His mother was Anaxibia, though sometimes she is called Philomache in old stories.
Acastus married a woman named Astydameia. She was also known as Hippolyte. Together, they had several children. Their daughters included Sterope and Laodamia. They also had a number of sons.
One of their daughters, Sthenele, married a man named Menoetius. Their son was Patroclus, a very famous hero in Greek mythology.
