Nicolas Achille Paroche (born March 1, 1868 – died May 27, 1933) was a talented French sport shooter. He was famous for competing in two different Olympic Games. These were the 1900 Summer Olympics and the 1920 Summer Olympics.

Achille Paroche: An Olympic Shooter
Achille Paroche was born in a small town called Sery, in France. He became a skilled athlete in sport shooting. This sport involves aiming and firing a gun at targets. He represented France in the Olympic Games.
Medal Wins at the 1900 Paris Olympics
The 1900 Summer Olympics were held in Paris, France. Achille Paroche had amazing success there. He won a total of four Olympic medals.
- He earned a gold medal in the military rifle (prone) competition. This meant he was the best at shooting while lying down.
- He won two silver medals. One was for the individual military pistol event. The other was for the team military pistol event.
- He also won a bronze medal with the French team. This was in the military rifle team competition.
Achille Paroche also competed in other events at the 1900 Olympics. He showed great skill in many different shooting styles.
Returning to the Olympics in 1920
Twenty years later, Achille Paroche competed again. This time, it was at the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp, Belgium. Even after two decades, he still performed very well.
