Active Kidz facts for kids

Active Kidz was a fun TV show designed to help kids aged 12-15 get more active. It aired in Australia on the ABC every weekday afternoon. The show was hosted by Scott Ehler and Amy Wilkins. It quickly became very popular across Australia and even won awards, including one for the best music in children's television!

Scott and Amy taught viewers about staying fit and healthy. Each episode featured a new dance routine that kids could learn and do at home. The show's success spread beyond Australia. It was picked up by the Disney Channel in Asia, where the Active Kidz team performed sold-out tours. They also toured the UK and the US in 2007 and 2008.

A second series of Active Kidz was released in 2008/2009 on Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. in Australia. During this time, Amy Wilkins took on a new role, and Dimity Clancey joined the team as a host for the second series. Dimity is a journalist who has traveled the world with famous characters like Barney and Hello Kitty. Scott Ehler was also recognized as a top fitness professional in New South Wales and across Australia. Active Kidz also offered many products like DVDs, CDs, board games, and clothing.
