Adam Cianciarulo (born October 20, 1996) is an American professional motocross and supercross racer who recently retired. He competed in the AMA Motocross Championships from 2013 to 2024. Adam is well-known for winning the 2019 AMA Motocross 250cc Championship.

Early Days and Amateur Success
Adam Cianciarulo started riding motorcycles when he was just three years old. By the time he was four, he was already racing! He quickly became a superstar in the amateur racing world.
In 2012, Adam became the top mini bike rider in the AMA Amateur Motocross National Championships. This is a huge event where young riders show off their skills. He won an amazing 11 amateur championships during his early career.
Professional Racing Career
Adam Cianciarulo began his professional racing journey in 2013. He joined the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team, which he had signed with even before turning pro.
Starting Out: Challenges and Injuries
Adam's first few years as a pro were tough. In 2013, he missed the first few races because he was sick. Even so, he showed his talent by finishing in the top 10 five times.
In 2014, Adam started strong in the 250 Monster Energy Supercross series. He won three of his first five races, including his very first Supercross race! However, he got a shoulder injury in Canada, which meant he had to miss the rest of that season and the entire 2014 Motocross season.
More injuries followed in 2015 and 2016, keeping him from racing full seasons. He had more shoulder injuries and even broke his wrist. Despite these setbacks, Adam kept working hard and showed flashes of his amazing speed. In 2016, he finally completed a full Motocross season, finishing in the top 10 several times.
Breakthrough Years and Big Wins
In 2017, Adam had a fantastic year, proving he still had the speed everyone knew he possessed. For the first time in his career, he raced both the entire Monster Energy Supercross and Lucas Oil Pro Motocross series.
In Supercross, he won two races, including his "home" race in Daytona and the final race in Las Vegas. In Pro Motocross, Adam earned his first overall win at Budds Creek.
The 2018 Supercross season was also very successful for Adam. He finished on the podium seven times and won another race in Las Vegas. However, he later announced he would miss the entire Motocross season to have surgery for a knee injury he had suffered earlier.
Championship Glory and Moving Up
The year 2019 was a huge one for Adam Cianciarulo! In the 250sx West Supercross series, he won five races and had six podium finishes. He came very close to winning the championship but lost it in the final race after a crash.
However, Adam didn't give up. He went on to win his first professional championship in the 2019 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Series! This was a major achievement, showing his incredible skill and determination.
After his championship win, Adam moved up to the top 450 class. He also changed his racing number from 92 to 9. In his very first professional race in the 450 class, the 2019 Monster Energy Cup, Adam placed first overall! He finished 2nd in the first two main events and then won the third, securing his spot at the top.
In 2020, Adam unfortunately broke his collarbone during a Supercross event. He had surgery and worked hard to recover.
