Adam Ellis (born 21 March 1996) is a British motorcycle racer. He is famous for his skills in both grasstrack and motorcycle speedway racing. He has even been a British champion!

Adam Ellis's Early Racing Days
Adam was born in Marmande, France. He started racing on grass tracks in 2009. Imagine racing motorcycles on a grassy field! He quickly became very good. In 2010, he finished second in the 250cc French Grasstrack Championship. The very next year, in 2011, he won the championship!
In 2012, Adam started racing speedway in the United Kingdom. Speedway is another exciting type of motorcycle racing, usually on an oval dirt track. He won two rounds of the British Junior Championship. He also joined his first team, the Isle of Wight Islanders, in the National League. He even made his debut in the top league, the Elite League, with Lakeside Hammers that same year.
Joining New Teams
For the 2013 season, Adam continued with the Islanders. He also joined the Ipswich Witches in the Premier League and kept his Elite League contract with Lakeside Hammers. This showed he was a rising star in the sport!
In May 2013, Adam was chosen to race in the World Under-21 speedway semi-final. This was a big step for him. Later, in 2017, he became a key rider for the Swindon Robins team.
Team Successes
Adam has been part of many winning teams. In 2015, he helped the Birmingham Brummies win the National League Fours competition. This event was held at Brandon Stadium.
In 2019, Adam and the Swindon Robins team won the SGP Premiership. This was a major league title, and it was their second time winning it with Adam on the team!
Becoming British Champion
A huge moment in Adam's career happened in 2021. He became the British champion by winning the 2021 British Speedway Championship! This is a very important title for a British rider.
In 2022, Adam raced for the Sheffield Tigers in the SGB Premiership 2022. He also rode for Birmingham in the SGB Championship 2022. He helped Sheffield win the League Cup and reach the Play-off final.
In 2023, Adam continued to ride for Sheffield in the SGB Premiership 2023. He helped his team win the league title that year! Also in 2023, he was part of the British team that won a silver medal in the 2023 Speedway World Cup final. This means his team was second best in the world!
Adam signed with Ipswich again for the 2024 season. This was ten years after he last rode for them.
World Longtrack Team Championship
Adam has also achieved success in the World Longtrack Team Championship.
- 2018 – He helped the British team win a silver medal in Morizes, France. He scored 5 out of 46 points for the team. His teammates were James Shanes, Zach Wajtknecht, and Chris Harris.
