Adrenalin Quarry is an exciting adventure park for families in Menheniot, Cornwall, United Kingdom. It opened in 2009. This park is built in an old, flooded quarry. It offers thrilling rides like The Zip, The Giant Swing, and Coasteering/The Blob. Adrenalin Quarry uses rides that have a small impact on nature. It's a popular place to visit in Cornwall.
History of Adrenalin Quarry
Adrenalin Quarry used to be called Clicker Tor Quarry. It was a working quarry from 1932 to 1969. Workers dug out a type of rock called Blue Elvin. This quarry was important for jobs in South-East Cornwall.
After it closed, the quarry became empty and filled with water. It is now 22 meters deep. In 1986, a place called Clicker Trikes (now Kartworld) opened there.
In January 2009, the current owner, Will Sneyd, started building the first ride. This was The Zip. Adrenalin Quarry officially opened in Easter 2009. Since then, new rides and fun activities have been added every year. In Easter 2018, the Aqua Park opened. This added even more excitement to the quarry.
