About Adrianna Freeman

Early Life and Music Dreams

Adrianna Freeman was born in Tallahassee, Florida. Her father was a sharecropper and musician. He loved country music. Adrianna grew up listening to country songs on his radio. She dreamed of singing like her heroes. These included Dolly Parton, Patsy Cline, and Loretta Lynn. Besides singing, she plays the guitar and mandolin. She also writes many of her own songs.

First Performances

Adrianna first sang for people at age 8. This was for customers at her family's produce market. When she was 15, her father took her to sing. It was her first time performing in a local country music honky-tonk. As a teenager, Adrianna traveled overseas. She went with a group called Teen Mania. She sang for poor people in Russia. After one of her shows, a child who had never spoken before started to talk. This amazing moment taught Adrianna that her voice could bring joy and healing to others.

Moving to Nashville

After coming back to the United States, Adrianna went to Florida State University. She earned a degree in accounting. But music was still her biggest passion. So, she moved to Nashville, Tennessee. This city is famous for country music. She went there to start her singing career.

Meeting a Country Star

Like many new singers, Adrianna performed in small clubs. It was hard to get noticed. One day, she was recording in a Nashville studio. She met Teddy Gentry there. He is a co-founder of the famous country music group Alabama. Teddy Gentry was impressed with Adrianna's singing. He asked her to record a song. It was for an album he was producing. The album was called Teddy Gentry's Best New Nashville. It was sold at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store restaurants. Customers who bought the album voted for their favorite song. Adrianna's song, Run Baby Run, was their top pick!

First Album and Success

Because Run Baby Run was so popular, Teddy Gentry agreed to produce Adrianna's first album. It was named Either You Do or You Don't. The album was recorded in Nashville.

In 2012, Adrianna signed with Musik and Film Records. Her music was sent to many radio stations. She became popular in Europe and Australia. A British radio host said her album was "sheer class." Another publication praised her "winsome voice."

Helping Others with Music

In 2013, Adrianna started her own company, AFM Entertainment, Inc. She released a new song called Just A Girl. This song is about children growing up in difficult homes. The song became the official theme song for The National Network for Youth (NN4Y). This is a large group in Washington, D.C. It helps homeless and runaway young people. A music video for the song was made by film students. It was shown on NN4Y’s website. A story about the song also appeared on The 700 Club, a TV show on the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN).

Adrianna Freeman continues to tour and record music. She has plans to release more new songs soon.
