Agustín Leandro Casime (born 12 July 1985) is a cricketer from Argentina. He has played for the national team in a type of game called List A matches. These are important one-day games in cricket.
Early Cricket Journey
Agustín Casime started playing cricket at a young age. When he was just 15, he joined the Argentina A team. This team won the South American Cricket Championship in the year 2000. People noticed his talent during this competition.
The next year, Casime was chosen as a reserve player for the Argentina team. This was for the 2001 ICC Trophy, a big international cricket tournament. Even though he was a reserve, it showed he was a promising player. He also played for Argentina's Under-19 team and Argentina A team in the years that followed.
Playing for the National Team
Agustín Casime made his first appearance for the senior national team on 24 November 2007. This was his List A debut. He played against Oman in a tournament called the 2007 ICC World Cricket League Division Two. Argentina lost this match by 18 runs.
In this game, Casime did not get a chance to bat. However, he did take one wicket, which means he got an opposing player out. He dismissed the Omani opening batsman, Nilesh Parmar. Three days later, Casime played another match against the UAE. He caught two balls, helping to get two players out. But when it was his turn to bat, he scored zero runs, also known as a "duck" or "nought". Argentina had a tough game and lost by a large margin of 304 runs.
