Ahmet Hakan (born August 11, 1967) is a well-known Turkish journalist and columnist. He writes for the newspaper Hürriyet and appears on TV channels like CNN Türk and Kanal D. He went to a religious high school and later studied divinity. Before joining Hürriyet, he was a news anchor for Kanal 7. In 2019, he became the editor of Hürriyet.

Ahmet Hakan Coşkun was born in Yozgat Province, Turkey, on August 11, 1967. He attended a religious school in Bursa when he was younger. Later, he graduated from Bursa Divinity Faculty.
His Career in Media
Ahmet Hakan started his career in television. From 1993 to 1994, he worked as a reporter for TGRT, a Turkish TV channel. In 2003, he became the news director for Kanal 7. After that, he wrote columns for the Yeni Şafak newspaper. Today, he continues his work at Hürriyet, CNN Türk, and Kanal D.

In January 2021, he received an award from President Erdogan at a media ceremony. President Erdogan mentioned that Turkey now has a more diverse and democratic media.
