Getting Started in AFL
Aidyn was chosen by the Port Adelaide Football Club in the 2015 national draft. This is a special event where AFL teams pick talented young players to join their clubs. Aidyn was the 45th player picked overall in that draft.
His First Game
Aidyn made his first appearance in an AFL game in 2017. It was during Round 5 of the season. His team, Port Adelaide, played against the Carlton team at the Adelaide Oval. It was a big win for Port Adelaide, by 90 points! Aidyn was added to the team at the last minute because another player, Hamish Hartlett, was injured.
A Memorable Debut
What made Aidyn's first game even more special was that he kicked a goal with his very first kick in the AFL. This is a rare and exciting achievement for any player!
