Akiko Fukushima (福嶋晃子) is a professional golfer from Japan. She was born on June 29, 1973. Akiko became well-known for her amazing skills on the golf course.
She played on two major golf tours: the LPGA of Japan Tour and the LPGA Tour. Akiko won many tournaments during her career. Her father, Hisaaki Fukushima, was also a professional athlete. He played baseball in Japan for 19 seasons.

Winning in Japan
Akiko won 24 times on the LPGA of Japan Tour. This is a major golf tour in Japan. She started playing professionally in 1992.
- In 1993, she was named the LPGA of Japan Tour Rookie of the Year. This award goes to the best new player.
- She was also named the LPGA of Japan Tour Player of the Year in both 1996 and 1997.
- Akiko was the leading money winner on the LPGA of Japan Tour in 1996 and 1997. This means she earned the most prize money in those years.
- Some of her wins include the Daikin Orchid Ladies, NEC Karuizawa 72 (which she won multiple times), and the Japan LPGA Championship Konica Cup.

Akiko Fukushima also played on the LPGA Tour, which is a major golf tour in the United States. She won two tournaments on this tour, both in 1999.
