Akira Konno (今野 章, Konno Akira, born September 12, 1974) is a former Japanese football player. He was a talented midfielder who played for two main clubs during his career: Júbilo Iwata and Kawasaki Frontale. Konno was known for his skill in the middle of the field, helping his teams achieve success in various Japanese football leagues.

Akira Konno's Football Journey

Akira Konno was born in Ofunato, Japan, on September 12, 1974. He loved football from a young age. After finishing his studies at Kokushikan University, he began his professional career.

Starting with Júbilo Iwata

In 1997, Konno joined Júbilo Iwata, a club in the top Japanese league, the J1 League. He played as a midfielder, which was his main position. Sometimes, he also played as a right side back. During his time with Júbilo Iwata, the team achieved great success.
