Dr. Al-Jazuli Daf'allah (Arabic: الجزولي دفع الله) was an important leader in Sudan. He was the 10th Prime Minister of Sudan from April 22, 1985, to May 6, 1986. A Prime Minister is like the head of the government in many countries.
Early Life and Education
Al-Jazuli Daf'allah was born in December 1935. He studied medicine at Khartoum University in Sudan. He finished his medical studies in 1959. Later, he became the head of the Sudanese Medical Association. This group represents doctors in Sudan.
Becoming Prime Minister
In 1985, there was a big change in the government of Sudan. The government led by Gaafar Nimeiry was replaced. Al-Jazuli Daf'allah was part of the group that helped make this change happen. After this, he joined the new military government. This government was led by Abdel Rahman Swar al-Dahab. Al-Jazuli Daf'allah was chosen to be the Prime Minister.
His Time in Office
He served as Prime Minister for about one year. During his time, he helped lead the country through a period of change. After the 1986 Sudanese parliamentary election, he decided to step down from his role. This election helped choose new leaders for the country. After he resigned, Sadiq al-Mahdi became the new Prime Minister.
