This article tells you about the important leaders who have been in charge of Sudan's government. These leaders are called "heads of government." The role started in 1952 with the title of Chief Minister. Later, it became known as the Prime Minister.

The job of Prime Minister was stopped for a while after a big change in government in 1989. It was brought back in 2017. At that time, Bakri Hassan Saleh became the Prime Minister.

Later, Abdalla Hamdok was chosen as Prime Minister on August 21, 2019. This was part of Sudan's plan to become more democratic. However, in October 2021, he was removed from his position for a short time. He was then put back in charge in November 2021 after an agreement with the military. Mr. Hamdok resigned in January 2022. After that, Osman Hussein served as the acting Prime Minister until April 2025.

Currently, Kamil Idris is the Prime Minister of Sudan. He was appointed by the Transitional Sovereignty Council on May 31, 2025.
