Alphonzo Jerome Bailey (born November 5, 1971), known as Al Kapone, is an American rapper from Memphis, Tennessee. He became well-known for his music in the Memphis hip hop scene during the 1990s. Later, he also worked on many popular songs.

Al Kapone's Music Journey
Al Kapone spent about ten years building a strong following in Memphis. He became very popular in the local music scene. His music then started to reach a wider audience.
Breaking into Movies
He gained more fame when his music was featured in the movie Hustle & Flow. This movie's soundtrack included his solo song, "Get Crunk, Get Buck". Al Kapone also helped write and produce "Whoop That Trick". He also wrote "Hustle & Flow (It Ain't Over)", which were both sung by Djay in the movie. His song "The Deepest Hood" was also in the 2007 film, Stomp the Yard.
