Alan Aboud's Creative Journey
Alan Aboud started his first creative agency, Aboud Sodano, in 1989 with his friend and photographer, Sandro Sodano. They worked together for many years, combining Alan's skills in art direction and typography (arranging text) with Sandro's unique photography.
From Aboud Sodano to Aboud Creative
In 2007, their full-time partnership changed, and the agency became known as Aboud Creative. For over 20 years, Alan's agency worked with many famous fashion, beauty, and lifestyle brands. These included well-known names like Paul Smith, Levi's, H&M, River Island, and Neal's Yard Remedies.
Designing for Big Brands
One of Alan's most famous projects was creating the iconic Multi-stripe design for Paul Smith. This colorful stripe pattern, first used for shirts in 1997, became a key part of the Paul Smith brand. Alan's work with Paul Smith began shortly after he graduated in 1989 and continued for many years. He still works on advertising for PAUL SMITH COLLECTION, which is Paul Smith's higher-end Japanese clothing line.
Alan's Current Work
More recently, Alan rebranded his agency to ABOUD+ABOUD. Now, he also works as a creative consultant, giving advice to other agencies like GREY LONDON. He helps them with big brands such as HUGO BOSS fragrances. His agency also continues to design for magazines, create fashion advertisements, and direct short fashion films.
Alan Aboud has three children: twins Victor and Milo Keating-Aboud, and a daughter named Georgie Alma Best Aboud.
