Alba Trissina was an Italian composer and a nun who lived a long time ago, around the late 1500s. She was a Carmelite nun at a special place called Santa Maria in Araceli in Vicenza, Italy. Carmelite nuns are part of a religious order dedicated to prayer and service.

Alba Trissina learned a lot about music from a famous composer named Leone Leoni. He even honored her by dedicating one of his music books, called Quarto Libro, to her in 1622. Leoni also helped make sure some of her own musical works were saved and shared.
