Albert Ernest Farrow (born in 1886, died in 1916) was an English professional footballer. He played as a left half, which is a midfield position. Albert played for clubs like Gainsborough Trinity in the Football League.
Early Football Career
Albert Farrow started his football journey in his hometown. He played for Gainsborough WMC & Institute from 1905 to 1906. After that, he joined Gainsborough Trinity. He played 35 games for them and scored one goal.
Playing for Watford
In 1908, Albert moved to Watford. He played nine games for them in the Southern Football League. He was a dedicated player during his time there.
Later Clubs
After leaving Watford, Albert played for Worksop Town. He continued his football career until 1912.
A Life Cut Short
Albert Farrow was a brave soldier during the First World War. He served as a private in several army regiments. These included the Lincolnshire Regiment and the Green Howards.
In 1916, Albert became very ill. He was diagnosed with a serious lung condition. Because of his illness, he was released from the army in August 1916. Sadly, Albert passed away the next month. He was buried in Gainsborough General Cemetery.
