Albin Haller (born March 7, 1849, in Fellering – died May 1, 1925) was an important French chemist. He made big contributions to the world of science.

Albin Haller was a true leader in chemistry. He helped create a special school called the École Nationale Supérieure des Industries Chimiques in Nancy. This school helped train many future chemists and engineers.

Earning Top Science Awards

In 1917, Haller received a very important award. It was the Davy Medal from the Royal Society. He won this medal because of his "important research in organic chemistry." Organic chemistry is the study of chemicals found in living things.

He was also chosen to join the French Academy of Sciences in 1900. This is a group of France's top scientists. He even became its president in 1923. Haller was also a member of the French Académie Nationale de Médecine, which focuses on medical science.
