Alessandro Criscuolo (born July 15, 1937 – died March 10, 2020) was an important Italian judge. He held a very high position as the President of the Constitutional Court of Italy. He was President from November 12, 2014, to February 24, 2016. Before that, he served as a Judge on the same Court from 2008 to 2017.
Alessandro Criscuolo's Journey as a Judge
Alessandro Criscuolo was born in the city of Naples, Italy. He became a judge on the Constitutional Court on October 28, 2008. He was chosen by the Court of Cassation, which is Italy's highest court for certain legal cases. He officially started his role on November 11, 2008.
Becoming President of the Court
On November 12, 2014, Criscuolo was elected to an even higher position. He became the President of the Constitutional Court. He won the election with eight votes from his fellow judges. He served as President until February 24, 2016. His time as a Judge on the Constitutional Court ended on November 11, 2017.
