Alexander Luttrell (born October 20, 1663 – died September 22, 1711) was an English army officer and politician. He was known for serving in the military and as a Member of Parliament (MP). An MP is a person elected to represent a group of people in a national parliament.

Early Life and Family
Alexander Luttrell was born in Dunster, England. He was the third son of Francis Luttrell, who lived at Dunster Castle. His mother was Lucy Symonds.
His older brother was Colonel Francis Luttrell. Alexander later inherited Dunster Castle. This happened after his two older brothers and then his brother Francis's son passed away in 1703.
Political Career
Alexander Luttrell became a Member of Parliament (MP). He represented the area of Minehead. He served in the House of Commons of England from 1690 to 1707.
The House of Commons is a very important part of the British Parliament. It is where elected representatives make laws. After 1707, he continued to serve in the House of Commons of Great Britain for another year.
Personal Life
In 1702, Alexander Luttrell married Dorothy Yard. She was the daughter of Edward Yard. Together, they had two sons and one daughter.
