Ali LeRoi is an American television producer, director, writer, and actor. He is famous for helping create the TV show Everybody Hates Chris. This show is based on the real-life experiences of comedian Chris Rock. In 2008, Ali LeRoi won an NAACP Image Award for his excellent writing on the show.

Early Life and Education
Ali LeRoi was born in Chicago, a big city in Illinois, U.S. He went to Robert Lindblom Math & Science Academy for high school. After that, he studied film at Columbia College Chicago. This is where he learned how to make movies and TV shows.
Working with Chris Rock
Ali LeRoi first met comedian Chris Rock in 1997. They worked together on Rock's late-night talk show, The Chris Rock Show, which was on HBO. Ali LeRoi wrote and directed many episodes for this show.
The team working on The Chris Rock Show was very successful. They received four Emmy Award nominations in a row from 1998 to 2001. These nominations were for "Outstanding Writing For A Variety, Music Or Comedy Program." They even won that Emmy Award in 1999. In 2001, the talk show was also nominated for "Outstanding Variety, Music Or Comedy Series." Ali LeRoi was a Supervising Producer for the show at that time.
Creating Everybody Hates Chris
Ali LeRoi is best known for co-creating the popular sitcom Everybody Hates Chris. This show tells funny stories about Chris Rock's childhood. It became a big hit and showed Ali LeRoi's talent for writing and producing comedy.
Other Projects
Ali LeRoi has worked on other interesting projects too. From 2013 to 2015, he co-hosted a podcast called "Alias Smith and LeRoi." He hosted it with comedian Owen H.M. Smith.
In 2019, Ali LeRoi's first full-length movie, The Obituary of Tunde Johnson, was shown for the first time. It premiered at the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival.
Ali LeRoi also helps other writers. He is on the Board of Directors for Humanitas. This organization gives awards to writers for film and television.
