Alicia Escardó was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, on June 25, 1963. She studied at the University of the Republic and became a computer analyst. Later, from 2002 to 2008, she lived in Spain. There, she continued her studies at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona and the National University of Distance Education in Madrid.
Alicia has written many fiction books. These books have been published by well-known companies like Penguin Random House. She has also contributed stories to magazines and joined other writers in collective books. Her writing has earned her several awards and special mentions.
