Ana María Justel Eusebio is a Spanish scientist who studies statistics and Antarctica. She is known for her work with numbers and data, especially in areas like how to test data with many different factors. She also studies how to understand data that comes from different groups mixed together. Her research helps us learn more about the lakes, rivers, and weather in Antarctica. She is a professor of statistics at the Autonomous University of Madrid in Spain.

Early Life and Education

Ana María Justel started her journey in mathematics at the Complutense University of Madrid, where she earned her first university degree in 1990. She then continued her studies and received her highest university degree, a doctorate, in statistics and econometrics from Charles III University of Madrid in 1995.

After finishing her doctorate, she did more research at the Université catholique de Louvain. In 1996, she joined the staff at the Autonomous University of Madrid. Her position there became permanent in 2000, meaning she became a full professor.

Awards and Recognition

In 2019, Ana María Justel was honored with the very first Margarita Salas Prize. This award is part of an initiative called Talent Woman, which celebrates the achievements of women in different fields.
