Ana María Moix (born April 12, 1947 – died February 28, 2014) was a Spanish writer. She was a poet, novelist, short story writer, translator, and editor. She was also the younger sister of the famous writer Terenci Moix.

Ana María Moix was born in Barcelona, Spain. She studied philosophy at the University of Barcelona. She became well-known in Spanish poetry. In 1968, she was the only woman included in a special group of new poets called the Novísimos. This group was chosen by José María Castellet.

From 1969 to 1973, Ana María published three books of poetry. After that, she took a break from writing fiction for over ten years. However, she did publish a children's book called Los robots during this time. Her second collection of short stories won the City of Barcelona Award in 1985. After this, she wrote another novel and two more short story collections.

Ana María Moix also translated many books, mostly from French. From 1976 to 1979, she worked with a team on a journal called Vindicación Feminista. This journal focused on women's rights and ideas.

Ana María Moix received the Creu de Sant Jordi award in 2006. This is one of the highest honors in Catalonia, Spain. She passed away in Barcelona in 2014 at the age of 66, after battling cancer.
