Ana de Miguel Álvarez (born 26 October 1961) is a Spanish philosopher and a strong supporter of women's rights, known as a feminist. Since 2005, she has been a professor of Moral and Political Philosophy at King Juan Carlos University in Madrid. She also leads a special course on the history of feminist ideas at the Complutense University of Madrid's Instituto de Investigaciones Feministas .

Ana de Miguel's Life and Education
Ana de Miguel studied philosophy at the University of Salamanca. She earned her advanced degree, called a doctorate, from the Autonomous University of Madrid. Her early research looked at how feminism and other ideas, like Marxism, connect. She also studied important thinkers like Flora Tristan and Qasim Amin.
From 1993 to 2005, she taught about gender in society at the University of A Coruña. Then, in 2005, she became a professor at King Juan Carlos University in Madrid. There, she teaches about moral and political philosophy.
Her Work in Feminist Research
Ana de Miguel was part of a special group that studied feminism and how it relates to important historical periods. This group was led by another philosopher, Celia Amorós. Their work helped create a course called "History of Feminist Theory." Ana de Miguel has been leading this course since 2005.
From 2012 to 2013, she was in charge of a master's program at King Juan Carlos University. This program focused on different areas of gender studies. One of her main goals is to show how feminist ideas have grown and changed over time.
She also studies feminism as a social movement. This means looking at how groups of people work together to bring about change. She explores how feminism helps us understand the world in new ways. She also looks at how feminists protest and work to redefine what is considered normal in society.
