Anastasia Konstantinovna Stavrova (Russian: Анастасия Константиновна Ставрова) is a brilliant mathematician from Russia. She studies advanced math topics like how different groups of numbers and shapes work together. She is a researcher at the Chebyshev Laboratory, which is part of Saint Petersburg State University.

Early Studies and Degrees

Anastasia Stavrova started her math journey at Saint Petersburg State University. She earned her first degree in mathematics there in 2005.

After that, she traveled to Europe to continue her studies. She went to the University of Leiden and the University of Padua to get her master's degree. She finished this degree in 2007.

Doctoral Research

After her master's, Anastasia came back to Saint Petersburg State University. She worked on her PhD, which is a very high level of education. Her big research project, called a dissertation, was about the "Structure of Isotropic Reductive Groups." She completed her PhD in 2009.

Working as a Researcher

After finishing her PhD, Anastasia continued to learn and work in math. She did special research jobs called postdoctoral research. From 2010 to 2012, she worked in Germany at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and the University of Duisburg-Essen.

In 2013, she was a special fellow at the Fields Institute in Canada. After all this experience, she returned to Saint Petersburg State University as a researcher.

Anastasia Stavrova has received several important awards for her amazing work in mathematics.

Young Mathematician Prize

In 2009, she won the Young Mathematician Prize from the Saint Petersburg Mathematical Society. This award recognized her early achievements in the field.

Scholarship and G. de B. Robinson Award

She also received the Young Russian Mathematics Scholarship in 2016. In 2018, she won the G. de B. Robinson Award [de] from the Canadian Mathematical Society. This award shows how much her work is valued by mathematicians around the world.
