His last book was called Kärlek och krig. Revolutionen år 1809, which means "Love and war. The Revolution of 1809." He passed away just before this book was published. In this final book, Isaksson told the story of how the Swedish Empire declined. He also wrote about the life of an army commander named Georg Adlersparre.
