André Paus is a former Dutch football player and manager. He was born on October 9, 1965, in Weerselo, Netherlands. He played as a defender during his career. After retiring as a player, he became a successful football manager for various clubs.

Playing Career
André Paus started his football journey in his hometown. He played for VV UD Weerselo as a youth player until 1981. From 1981 to 1985, he joined the youth team of FC Twente.
Professional Clubs
Paus began his professional playing career in 1985 with FC Twente in the Netherlands. He played for them for nine seasons, appearing in 118 league games as a defender. He scored 4 goals during his time there.
In 1994, he moved to Japan to play for Júbilo Iwata. He spent two seasons with the club, playing 64 games and scoring 7 goals. After that, he played for Fujitsu in 1996, where he made 22 appearances and scored 2 goals.
He returned to the Netherlands in 1997 and played for Heracles Almelo for two seasons. He played 5 games before ending his playing career in 1998. In total, André Paus played 209 professional games and scored 13 goals.
Managerial Career
After his playing days, André Paus transitioned into football management. He has managed several clubs in different countries.
Early Management Roles
Paus started his management career in 2006 with WKE in the Netherlands. He managed the team until 2009. He then moved to SV Spakenburg, where he was in charge from 2009 to 2012. After that, he managed FC Lienden for a year, from 2012 to 2013.
In 2013, he took on a role with Jong Vitesse, the youth team of Vitesse. He also served as a coach for the main Vitesse team.
International Management
In 2014, André Paus became the manager of Valletta F.C. in Malta. He had a very successful short period there. Later that year, he moved to Cyprus to manage Anorthosis Famagusta, staying until 2016.
He also managed AEL in Greece in 2017 and Enosis Neon Paralimni in Cyprus from 2017 to 2018.
Recent Roles
In 2019, Paus had a caretaker role at Quick '20 in the Netherlands. From 2019 to 2022, he managed Birkirkara F.C. in Malta. His last known management role ended in April 2022.
