André Paus (born on October 9, 1965) is a former Dutch professional footballer who played as a defender. After his playing career, he became a manager for various football clubs. He was born in Weerselo, Netherlands.

Playing Career

André Paus started his football journey in the youth teams of VV UD Weerselo. Later, he joined the youth academy of FC Twente. He began his professional career with FC Twente in 1985. He played for them for nine years, appearing in 118 games and scoring 4 goals.

In 1994, André moved to Japan to play for Júbilo Iwata. He spent two seasons there, playing 64 games and scoring 7 goals. After that, he played for another Japanese club, Fujitsu, for one season.

He then returned to the Netherlands in 1997. He finished his playing career with Heracles Almelo, where he played for two more seasons. In total, André Paus played 209 professional games and scored 13 goals.

Managerial Career

After retiring as a player, André Paus decided to become a football manager. His first managing role was with WKE in 2006. He stayed there for three years.

He then managed several other Dutch clubs, including SV Spakenburg and FC Lienden. In 2013, he worked with the youth team of Vitesse, called Jong Vitesse, and also as a coach for the main Vitesse team.

In 2014, André Paus moved to Malta to manage Valletta. He had a very successful time there, winning two major trophies. After Malta, he managed Anorthosis Famagusta in Cyprus and AEL in Greece.

He returned to Cyprus to manage Enosis Neon Paralimni. In 2019, he had a short role as a caretaker manager for Quick '20 in the Netherlands. His most recent managing job was with Birkirkara in Malta, where he managed until 2022.
