Andrea Weiss is an American filmmaker, writer, and professor. She makes independent documentary films. She also teaches film and video at the City College of New York. There, she helps lead the MFA Program in Film. She worked as the research director for the film Before Stonewall: The Making of a Gay and Lesbian Community (1984). For this work, she won a News & Documentary Emmy Award.
