Andrew Baird's Journey in Film
Learning About Film
From 1993 to 1997, Andrew studied at the National Film School of Ireland. This school is part of the Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology. He graduated with honors, earning a degree in Film Direction and Production Design. Later, he continued his studies, getting more degrees in film and production design in 2001 and 2008.
Working in the Film World
Andrew Baird's first job was as an art director. This means he helped design the look and feel of films. He then started directing projects for producer Roger Corman in Ireland and Eastern Europe.
In 2006, Andrew moved to Los Angeles, USA. There, he worked as a production designer for commercials and music videos. He directed a music video for the pop singer The Weeknd. This video was for the song Kiss Land.
