André-Line Beauparlant (born in Montreal, Quebec in 1966) is a talented Canadian artist who works in movies. She is known for her amazing work as an art director, a production designer, and a set decorator. She has also directed films herself!

André-Line helps create the look and feel of movies. As an art director and production designer, she plans and designs all the visual elements you see on screen, like the sets, props, and costumes. A set decorator then adds all the smaller details to make the scene look real.

She was nominated for a Genie Award for Best Achievement in Art Direction/Production Design for her work on several films. These include Continental, a Film Without Guns and Happy Camper. She was also nominated for her work on ... and ... Who Drinks.

At the same 28th Genie Awards, she was also nominated for Best Feature Length Documentary for a film she directed called Antlers.

Jutra Awards

In 2002, André-Line was nominated for three Jutra Awards, which are important film awards in Quebec. She was nominated for Best Art Direction for ... Who Drinks and Marriages. She also received a nomination for Best Documentary for her film Three Princesses for Roland.

Prix Iris

More recently, in 2018, she was nominated for Best Art Direction at the Prix Iris for her work on the film Infiltration.

Education and Background

André-Line Beauparlant studied at the University of Montreal. She also graduated from the National Theatre School of Canada in 1993. This education helped her develop the skills needed for her successful career in film.
