Andrés Velencoso was born in Ledaña, a town in Spain. When he was 15, he moved to Tossa de Mar, which is in Girona. After finishing high school, he started his journey into the world of modeling.

Andrés Velencoso began his modeling career by signing with a Spanish agency called Group Model Management. However, his early days were not easy. When he went to Milan, many agents did not think he would be successful.
His luck changed in 2001 when Natalie Kates, an agent from Q Model Management in New York City, gave him a chance. Even though Andrés could not speak English well at the time, Kates helped him. She took new photos of him and sent him to meet important people in the fashion world.
One of these people was photographer Matt Albiani, who liked Andrés for a photo shoot. The very next day, Andrés was on a set in East Hampton, New York. Soon after arriving in the city, he caught the attention of famous photographers like Michael Thompson and Francois Nars.
Big Campaigns and Magazine Covers
In 2002, Andrés got a big job for the Banana Republic spring ad campaign. A year later, he starred in a Louis Vuitton ad campaign alongside the famous singer and actress Jennifer Lopez. He also signed a contract for the Chanel Allure Homme Sport fragrance. In 2004, he became the face of Loewe, another well-known brand.
