Sir Andrew David Marsh (born in 1966) is a very important British police officer. He is currently the chief executive officer of the College of Policing. This means he leads the organization that sets standards and training for police forces across the UK. He started this big job in September 2021.

Sir Andy Marsh was born in 1966 in Liverpool, England. He has spent most of his working life helping to keep people safe.
His Police Career
Sir Andy started his journey in policing in 1987. His first role was as a new recruit with the Avon and Somerset Police. Over the years, he moved up through different ranks.
He became an assistant chief constable for Wiltshire Police. Later, he held the same role for Avon and Somerset Police. After that, he became the chief constable of Hampshire Constabulary. A chief constable is the top police officer in a specific area.
From February 2016 until July 2021, he was the chief constable for Avon and Somerset Police. This was a very important leadership role.
Becoming a Knight
In 2024, Sir Andy Marsh was made a Knight Bachelor. This is a special honour given by the King. He received this award for his great work and dedication to policing. It means he can use "Sir" before his name.
