Her research for this degree was about linear operators.
Career and Leadership
Dr. Spalsbury taught at Youngstown State University for many years, from 2001 to 2017. During this time, she became the head of the mathematics and statistics department. This was from 2013 to 2017. She also helped lead a student group called the Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM). This group encourages young women to study math. Under her guidance, the group won an award for their great work. In 2018, Dr. Spalsbury returned to Kent State University. She became the dean of the Geauga campus. As a dean, she helps manage the campus and supports students and teachers.
