Ankst is a cool music company from Wales. It's an independent record label, which means it helps musicians record and release their songs without being part of a huge company. Ankst started way back in 1988 at Aberystwyth University.

This label has been super important for many popular Welsh bands. For example, it helped launch famous groups like Super Furry Animals and Gorky's Zygotic Mynci. Today, Ankst is based in a place called Pentraeth on Anglesey, which is an island off the coast of Wales.
