Anna Freixas Farré (born July 21, 1946) is a Spanish writer and a retired university professor. She is known for her important work on how women experience aging. She also writes about feminism and education.

About Anna Freixas

Anna Freixas earned her PhD in psychology from the University of Barcelona. A PhD is a very high university degree. She studied how women see themselves as they get older for her main project, called a doctoral thesis.

In 1981, she started working at the University of Córdoba. There, she became a professor of psychology. She taught about how people grow and change throughout their lives.

Anna Freixas also started and led the Women's Studies Classroom. This was a special place to learn about women's lives and issues. Later, it became the Leonor de Guzmán Chair.

Her research has focused on several key areas. She studied how women age and how education can be fair for both boys and girls (coeducation). She also looked at how psychology research and teaching can include a gender perspective. This means looking at how things affect people differently based on their gender. She is seen as a pioneer in studying women's aging from a feminist point of view in Spain.
