About Anna Hassan
Anna Patricia Lucy Fusco was born and grew up in Banbridge, County Down, Northern Ireland. Her parents were from Italy. Before becoming a teacher, she helped manage her family's ice-cream shops. However, she soon realized her true calling was teaching. She married Nevzat Hassan in 1971. He is a Turkish Cypriot. They have one son named Dogan, who was born in London in 1972.
