Anna Sick (born 1803, died February 19, 1895) was a talented German composer and pianist. She held an important job as the official court pianist and "Mistress of Piano" for the royal court in Stuttgart, Germany. This meant she played music for the royal family and taught piano there.
Anna Sick was born in Munich, a city in Germany. She started learning piano at a young age. One of her first teachers was Maria Anna Mozart, who was the sister of the famous composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Later, Anna continued her studies with other well-known music teachers. These included Carl Czerny, who was famous for his piano exercises, and Josef Foerster, and Johann Aloys Miksch.

Working for the Royal Court
Anna Sick became a very skilled pianist. Her talent led her to a special position at the royal court in Stuttgart. As the court pianist, she played music for important events and for the royal family's entertainment. She was also the "Mistress of Piano," which meant she was in charge of piano music and teaching at the court.
In 1834, while working at the court, she met and married M. Sick. He was a court assessor, which was a legal official at the court.

Besides her duties at the court, Anna Sick also performed for the public. She gave many piano recitals, where people could come and listen to her play. She was also a composer, meaning she wrote her own music. She continued to compose and teach throughout her life. Anna Sick passed away in Berlin in 1895.
