Anne Démians d'Archimbaud is a talented French architect. She started her own architecture company in 1995. In 2003, she opened Architectures Anne Démians near Paris. Her company designs many different buildings. These include offices, school kitchens, and homes.
About Anne Démians
Anne was born in Colmar, France. She studied architecture at a special school in Versailles. She finished her studies in 1987.
One of her most famous projects is the Quai Ouest building in Nancy. This building was finished in 2015. It is a "mixed-use" building. This means it has different types of spaces inside. It includes offices, a hotel, and shops. The building is about 10,000 square meters in size. It has 640 unique, oval-shaped windows.
In 2015, Anne Démians won a big competition. She was chosen to redesign the ESPCI ParisTech school. This project will turn it into a major research center. Her plan adds 38,000 square meters of new space. Most of this new space will be for laboratories.
Since 1998, Anne has also taught architecture. She has taught at schools in Brittany, Paris, and Berlin. In 2015, she became a member of the Académie d'architecture. This is a special group for people who have made big contributions to architecture and city planning.
