Anne Gilman's Early Life and Education
Anne Gilman went to college to study art. She earned her first degree, a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), from the State University of New York at New Paltz. Later, she continued her studies at Brooklyn College. There, she earned a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Painting and Drawing. During her time at Brooklyn College, she learned from a well-known artist named Lee Bontecou.
