Anne's Education Journey

After high school, Anne attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She earned degrees in both philosophy and finance. Later, she moved to New York City. There, she studied at the Institute of Culinary Education. She earned a degree in culinary arts, which is all about cooking and food.

Anne Thornton's Culinary Career

Anne's first job in the food world was working in culinary media. This means she helped create food-related content for different media. After that, she worked as a personal chef. She cooked for individual clients.

Working in New York City Restaurants

In 2006, Anne joined The Waverly Inn, a restaurant in New York City. She worked there as a pastry chef. This means she was in charge of making all the delicious desserts. She was also an assistant general manager.

In 2009, Anne moved to another New York restaurant called Hotel Griffou. She became the executive pastry chef there. She also helped plan special events until June 2010.
